Special Childrens Day at London Zoo

Special Childrens Day is back, welcoming children with special needs and their families to ZSL London Zoo on 10 and 11 September 2011.

Following the growing success of previous years' Special Children's Day, we are delighted to announce that this unique two day event will once again be coming to ZSL London Zoo in 2011.

Some of the highlights

> An exclusive welcome entrance with a ‘welcome pack’ including your day-planner and a quiz with prizes to be won
> 'Discovery Zone’ with hands-on activities, storytelling, live animals, crafts, face painting & more. The Discovery Zone has been developed with assistance from the National Autistic Society and is ‘autism friendly’. ZSL staff have attended an autism awareness session delivered by the NAS, who will also be present on the day.
> Animal displays, feeds & talks throughout the day with British Sign Language interpreters
Unique ‘Touch Tours' for children with sight impairment.
> Free admission to bouncy castle & discounted rates on face painting, retail and catering outlets
With increased specialist facilities and number of staff, as well as unique 'Touch Tours' and talks throughout the day with British Sign Language interpreters, Special Children's Day is an exciting and unique event. Not only that, but all tickets for this special event are being offered at a reduced rate.

Special Children's Day reduced price list:

All children up to 18yrs: £8.50
One Carer per family: FREE (Carer must be over 18yrs)
Additional Adults: £12.50
Children under 3 years: FREE
